Although Art Lab Inc has been around for over 45 years, my goal in becoming social media manager was to ensure that we were utilizing all of their socials. Having Facebook, Instagram and starting a YouTube channel was essential to spreading information about upcoming classes and events going on at Art Lab. As the designer and social media manager I created many postcards, flyers, stickers and adverts to promote the school as much as possible.
The importance of social media marketing:
Utilizing social media such as Instagram as well as YouTube, we were able to share some projects online to continue to connect with our artists. Adding a weekly YouTube segment called #ArtLife getting to know our teachers. Taking advantage of Stories and Reels we were able to get our fellow artists to interact with our page by connecting links and other useful material.
Promoting art classes as well as workshops, afterschool events and camps was simple and effective. Interacting with our audience was a great way to keep things personal while being helpful.
